Luckiamute Valley Pheasants proudly offers an exclusive hunt with Dez Young and his Lewellen Setter, Dash.  Dez has hosted two Telly Award winning television shows: Hunting with Hank and Dash in the Uplands.  Your party will hunt over the National Bird Dog Hall of Fame dog Dash with Dez handling.   Dez has hunted with us a number of times, and has also been kind enough to provide his expertise for some of our youth and ladies introductory hunts.  Those who are fans of Dash and Dez will surely enjoy this opportunity.  Those who are not fans now will be once you have hunted with them.

Your party will have exclusive use of our 315 acre hunting preserve and facilities for the entire day.  You will hunt over a beautiful landscape with one of the most classically beautiful dogs and some of the nation's best performing pheasants.

Hunts will be divided into a morning and afternoon session.  Two persons will hunt the morning, and two in the afternoon.  The four of you will have a catered lunch with Dez and Dash.  Should you wish to stay into the evening, there is a wood stove and local wine to share.   We will also include an autographed photo signed by Dez and Dash as well as a photo of you with Dez.  Those in your party, who are not in the field, may wish to shoot some trap or simply explore other areas of our preserve.  Ask us about other local activities that may be available.

We will book these hunts only when we have a total party of 4.  You may wish to request a date with fewer people and we may be able to match with others who want that date.  Of course you can book with fewer, but the charge will be the same as for a party of 4.

To book a hunt send us an email with the date you would like.  You may wish to give several dates as coordinating availabilities can be difficult.  We recommend that you book well in advance, because of Dez's limited availability and other bookings on our preserve.  The charge will be $375 per person and will require a 25% deposit at time of reservation confirmation.  For your convenience there is a calendar under the reservations section that is updated daily and indicates available days. 

We do not offer overnight accommodations at the hunting location, but we highly recommend the Airlie Bed and Breakfast that is within 5 miles of our preserve.  It is a turn-of-the-century home on a working quarter horse ranch and is located near wineries.  For information contact Nancy at airliefarm.com

For private aircraft, both Corvallis Municipal (CVO) and Salem Municipal (SLE) airports have ILS precision approaches; have car rental available locally, and are within 30 miles of us.  Salem has the most convenient car rental services.  For commercial flights we recommend Portland International (PDX) which is 1.5 hours north.  Eugene (EUG) is located about 1 hour to the South and provides more limited scheduled airline service than PDX.
